Alisdair qualified as a Solicitor in April 1997 and became a Partner in May 2003. Alisdair specialises in family law and is an Advanced Member of the Family Law Panel which is regulated by The Solicitors Regulation Authority and is an accredited specialist of Resolution. Alisdair can advise clients in respect of all manners of family disputes including co-habitation disputes, divorce, financial relief and children matters.

Being a member of Resolution, which is a national group of lawyers whose main aim is to resolve disputes in as conciliatory fashion as possible. He is also a trained collaborative lawyer.
