Melanie Francis

Solicitor - Residential Conveyancing

Melanie joined Steed & Steed in 2018 and is a solicitor in the firm’s Residential Conveyancing Department.

After a career in banking, Melanie decided in 2006 that she wanted a change of direction and studied for a degree in law.

Since qualifying as a solicitor in 2016, Melanie has worked in a number of law firms in Essex and Suffolk where she has gained experience dealing with a broad range conveyancing matters for clients.

In particular she guides clients through the process of buying and selling a house. She appreciates that moving house is one of the biggest financial decisions that many people will make in their lifetime and that it can be a stressful time so she works with her clients to make sure that their transaction runs smoothly.

Alongside buying and selling houses Melanie also has experience in other areas of property law, such as, property registration, lease extension, new builds, transfer of equity, re-mortgages and plot purchases.
